WoW: Latest Dungeon Puts Players on A Ghost Ship

World of Warcraft: Legion, the upcoming expansion is currently in the alpha testing phase. New content is added to the alpha all the time for players to dive in and try out.

It’s called Maw of Souls, and it takes place on a massive ship that is navigating the Vyrkul afterlife. Players start on land before being transported to the hull of the Vyrkul ship known as the Naglfar. It’s filled with all the typical World of Warcraft goodness: there are numerous boss battles, plenty of trash mobs and loot to be had.

However, the final boss isn’t something you see every day. Once players reach the end, a massive kraken woman appears and starts destroying the ship with her tentacles. It’s a drawn-out fight and a hectic-looking one at that, but it sure does look cool.

Although the dungeon only went live on the game’s alpha build last night, more than a few players have already completed it and uploaded videos for all to see.

Of course, the entire dungeon is subject to change in the upcoming months as Blizzard prepares Legion for release. The expansion doesn’t yet have a release date, but it is expected to launch sometime in the summer of 2016.

WoW Legion: Mythic Hunter Variants and Neltharion Lair Zone

New Demon Hunter armor for the World of Warcraft Legion expansion have been revealed in the alpha, along with a new Dungeon called Neltharion’s Lair.

Tier 19 armor for the new Demon Hunter class above level 100 have been confirmed in a report. The new armor include regular and rare Mythic versions.

The regular Tier 19 Demon Hunter set comes in four colors: Normal, Heroic, Alliance, and Horde colors. Meanwhile, the mythic version of the Demon Hunter set glows with the similar green energy found on Illidan Stormrage.

Neltharion’s Lair is the cave where Neltharion’s followers live. In the Warcraft universe, Neltharion is currently known as Deathwing, a dragon with the Aspect of Death and is considered a main threat to Azeroth. Deathwing intends to wipe mortals off Azeroth, which is technically everybody. The players may fight the followers of Deathwing inside the dungeon, as the lore confirms a large hostile army inside the lair that may destroy Azeroth if they start to mobilize.

In other news, a single patch note for the Windwalker specialization of the Monk Class in patch 6.2.3 has been released. The patch correctly deals the PvP damage of the Storm, Earth, and Fire summons, copying the Rising Sun Kick, as they previously dealt lower damage than expected. As of Legion, World of Warcraft now allows multi-specialization for character classes. The new active and passive skills of other Monk specializations being mixed into the Windwalker may have affected and bugged out its damage.

Leak Suggests New Wardrobe Tab for Looted Items in Legion Expansion

world-of-warcraft-legion
A new leak regarding the “Legion” expansion pack for “World of Warcraft” indicated that the upcoming game will come with a new wardrobe tab. According to sources, the leaked images came from the beta version of the game.

Unfortunately, the clip showing off the new feature has already been removed. But according to Kotaku, which was able to capture screenshots from the video, the new feature will make it easier for gamers to manage their collected items.

As explained by the gaming new site, the wardrobe tab displays the player’s character alongside the looted items such as clothes and armor. Through this new section, gamers will no longer have to store their cosmetic items in the game’s Void Storage. It will also give them a bigger space for all of the low-level items that they will come across in their digital journey.

But, as the site noted, the wardrobe tab, along with the other new features of the expansion pack, were first unveiled during the beta tests for the game. In other words, developer Blizzard Entertainment could still change these or completely remove them from “Legion”.

The upcoming “Expansion” pack does not yet have an official release date, but the studio is targeting to debut it sometime during the second or third quarter of this year. It will only be available for the Microsoft Windows and OS X platforms once it comes out.

After Warlords Of Draenor, Fan Reactions To World Of Warcraft

Blizzard are often masterful in their campaigns for World of Warcraft expansions. This MMO has been out in the public domain since 2004, and somehow it manages to hold millions of players every year. It’s extraordinary. It’s also fascinating to watch Blizzard’s marketing campaigns for each expansion and how they tailor them to the desires of fans.

For instance the last expansion, Warlords of Draenor, was said to be a return to form, or at least a departure from what constituted the most recent releases in the WoW series. Blizzard cited The Burning Crusades as a reference point for what Warlords of Draenor would be like. While this had old fans terribly excited, the title failed to live up to expectations. Naturally, this has some fans worried about the albeit awesome-looking World of Warcraft: Legion.

While Warlords of Draenor enjoyed high praise from critics, the fanbase of World of Warcraft were mixed with their responses. Some really enjoyed how the expansion deviated from the likes of Pandaria and Catalyst, others saw it as their chance to escape from World of Warcraft for good.

These two quotes are just a glimpse into some of the opinions you’ll find on Metacritic. Warlords of Draenor has commendable aspects in my opinion, and I am indeed looking forward to seeing if Blizzard can achieve greatness with Legion. But I, like many fans out there, am cautiously optimistic for the next WoW expansion.

What Does the Decline of World of Warcraft Mean for Activision Blizzard?

Activision Blizzard shares currently trade at all-time highs, but the decline of one of its biggest games presents a notable counterweight to stellar financial and stock performance. World of Warcraft, the groundbreaking online experience that revolutionized massively multiplayer online gaming, is down to approximately 5.5 million subscribers, and a significant resurgence under the game’s subscription-based model seems unlikely.

Activision will no longer report subscription numbers for the decade-old title, and the recent move to acquire King Digital suggests an effort to maintain online gaming strength through other channels.

What does the decline of WoW mean for Activision Blizzard in light of the King Digital acquisition? And how will the weakening of one of the company’s most important properties affect its position relative to competitors such as Electronic Arts?

Few games will ever match World of Warcraft in terms of longevity and industry impact. Released in 2004, the title redefined the MMORPG genre and became the highest-grossing game of all time. At the peak of the game’s popularity in 2010, Warcraft had over 12 million subscribers.    buy cheap wow gold

Take-Two Inspired By World of Warcraft Model, GTA MMO Up Next

It has been a few years since the last installment to the “Grand Theft Auto” franchise was released. Now, fans are starting to wonder if a new installment is on its way to the market.

Several “GTA” fanatics have already started to speculate about the unveiling of the new episode of the GTA series. Adding to this speculation is the fact that game developer Rockstar has also revealed bits of information about the possibility of “Grand Theft Auto 6” launching.

Although an official announcement is far from being made, the arrival of the new GTA game is inevitable.

Game publisher Take Two Interactive would want to release a game that would captivate fans not only after its initial released but for a few years just like what is happening to the “World of Warcraft.” The game has been a big hit years after it hit on everyone’s computer, The Examiner reported.

“GTA V” was released in 2013 and the people behind the company have done a very good job in bringing in a new experience of GTA online. It’s certainly not an MMO game, but Take Two can definitely make this as one if they decide to do so.

There is still hope for fans for the unveiling of the new GTA installment. It may not happen this year but, with all the speculations, there’s a possibility that it might be released next year.

World Of Warcraft: Legion’s First Dungeon Revealed

buy cheap wow gold  The alpha test for World of Warcraft: Legion has been updated with its first dungeon, Halls of Valor. This dungeon should give remind veterans of the old Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

Do you remember the vrykul, those Norse-themed warriors you fought in Northrend? Well, Halls of Valor is a fortress in the sky above Stormheim where the greatest of the vrykul warriors go after death. There’s a good reason for players to disrupt their little Valhalla, though. God-King Skovald and his forces have invaded the hall to recover a powerful artifact for the Burning Legion that will help them take over Azeroth.

There are five bosses through the Halls of Valor. In addition to fighting Skovald and his minions, players will also face down the Titan Odyn, who has fallen victim to a cursed. Blizzard also included a fight against a giant wolf in there for good measure.

The last fight looks like a lot of fun. Players are tagged with colored brands that damage them over time and they have to run to the corresponding tile on the ground to remove the effect. Doing so turns the player into a Val’kyr (ie a giant viking angel thing) for a little while and gives them a huge boost to healing and damage. You’ll need that buff because Odyn is constantly tossing Holy damage around and summoning minions.

Legion’s alpha test launched about a week ago. It’s mostly limited to friends and family of Blizzard employees. Those lucky few are able to try out small chunks of the expansion pack including the new Demon Hunter class. Blizzard will follow up on this closed alpha with a larger beta test closer to the expansion’s launch next year.

An Early Look At World of Warcraft

We already knew WoW’s transmogrification system-a feature that allows players to alter the appearance of their gear-would get a complete revamp in Legion and now, that selected players can access the very early alpha of the expansion, we also have an idea of how it’ll look.

So instead of keeping cosmetic gear in a Void Storage or simply in our bags, Legion’s patch 7.0 will introduce a wardrobe tab, similar to the Toy Box and Heirloom Items (or even Diablo III’s transmog system). It’s basically a huge new collection tab where we can track all the items we looted during our journey, whether it’s cosmetic or something low-level.

This is the very first public build and it’s a long way to go until the release, so things will change a lot, but knowing the number of items in WoW, if you want to collect everything, you’re in for a ride.

Other than that it looks like a nice new feature and it certainly will keep players busy for a while.   buy cheap wow gold

How Blizzard Is Changing World Of Warcraft Combat

World of Warcraft’s been around for more than a decade. Combat is one of its cornerstones, but also, perhaps, a bit of a relic. In light of recent MMO evolutions like Destiny, I asked Blizzard how far they’re willing to push WoW’s combat.

Over the years Blizzard has, of course, added all sorts of new classes and skills to WoW while also doing things like revamping the game’s entire talent system. Combat is, in some ways, a far cry from what is was back in old vanilla days, but other MMOs have taken the auto-attack + abilities formula further-or ditched it altogether. Tera, Wildstar, Guild Wars 2, etc. Meanwhile on console, Destiny offers combat so weighty and satisfying that players were willing to fight a veritable rogue’s gallery of formidable foes-a bland story, repetitive mission structure, poor decision-making on Bungie’s part-for a year before the game actually got, you know, good.

Blizzard does want to make WoW’s combat feel better. They’ve just got to balance that with expectations of a millions-strong player base that ranges in age from 0.3 years old to Your Great Grandma On Your Mom’s Side Who’s Even Cooler Than You. Blizzard’s compromise? Overhauling melee animations.  buy cheap wow gold

World of Warcraft News: BlizzCon 2015 to highlight Legion expansion

The up and coming BlizzCon 2015 that features World of Warcraft Legion is considerably one of the most anticipated events for fans of many massive multiplayer online role-playing game titles under Blizzard. With less than a month away, the games that are still to come, the probability of more news regarding World of Warcraft Legion is highly awaited and speculated by some-and all fingers are crossed until then.

According to Master Herald, BlizzCon 2015 is where it’s at for many patrons of World of Warcraft. After the release of Warlords of Draenor, the possibility of World of Warcraft Legion has certainly sky-rocketed massively, and Blizzard Entertainment has not denied its existence ever since. The fact of the matter, however, is when the game would be launched to the public, which is still highly uncertain as of the moment.

Delivered by Game Rant, World of Warcraft is expected to steal the show in the upcoming BlizzCon 2015 event next month, especially with the rumors that the title will have updates in the Timewalking feat, as well as some dungeon loots. Warlords of Draenor will not be left behind as well, with the Patch 6.2.3 already reported to be added before the planned apparent release of World of Warcraft Legion.

Fans know quite a few bits and pieces about World of Warcraft Legion so far, one of such being the addition of the Demon Hunter class to the roster, as reported by iSchool Guide. The particular league has been noted to showcase incredible skills and abilities, together with the new updates on the maps and the increased adventure level cap of 110. Moreover, the World of Warcraft Legion expansion will have new raids and dungeons, which is more than enough for fans to look forward to.

Blizzard Entertainment has not disclosed final calls for the upcoming World of Warcraft Legion so far, and the release date is still not within reach. The beta release date, however, is said to be held late 2015. Keep posted for more updates before the much-awaited BlizzCon 2015 event on November 6 and 7.   buy cheap wow gold
